Dr. Minas Chrysopoulo

Raised and educated in London, England, "Dr C" is a graduate of the University of London where he received his bachelor of science degree in Advanced Anatomy and Morphology prior to completing his medical degree.

In 1997, Dr. C moved from London to South Texas. Apparently this was "in search of a better climate." He continued his training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio prior to his fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has also completed fellowships in burn surgery and burn reconstruction at Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, and hand surgery and microsurgery at the Indiana Hand Center. It was during his general surgery residency in San Antonio that Dr C met his wife, Amanda, a native of Austin.

We are proud to report that Dr C was recently named one of "America's Top Surgeons." He has also been a recipient of the San Antonio Business Journal's "Top 40 Under Forty" Award and has been featured on KENS 5 News for using new technology to optimize breast reconstruction surgery. Dr C was also the featured guest on "DeLeon's Dialogue," a radio show about surviving breast cancer. Dr C is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is also an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation, the San Antonio International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Texas Medical Society. He has also served on the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr Chrysopoulo's areas of special interest include advanced breast reconstruction techniques, minimally invasive (short scar) surgery of the breast, cosmetic surgery of the breast and body, and scar healing. His expertise in body contouring techniques has been featured in the national magazine ANEW. Dr Chrysopoulo is also Chief Science Officer of C&H Scientific, Inc, makers of the scar treatment InviCible Scars.

When not working (or zipping around in his mini Cooper), Dr C enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, playing tennis, and feeding his social media addiction by blogging, facebooking and tweeting.
