Dr. Chet Nastala

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Chet Nastala graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. He went on to medical school at Duke University, where he received his M.D. and the Kenneth L. Pickrell, M.D., Scholarship award. In order to pursue a high level of excellence in plastic surgery, Dr. Nastala attended the University of Pittsburgh for a nine-year post-graduate program that integrates the disciplines of plastic surgery, general surgery, microvascular surgery, and surgical oncology research.

As a member of the PRMA reconstructive and plastic surgery team in San Antonio, Dr. Chet Nastala brings his impressive education and experience to our practice. He has served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center and as the Director of the Plastic Surgery training program at the Health Center. Dr. Nastala is also board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Chet Nastala has exceptional skill performing a range of plastic surgery and breast reconstruction procedures designed to enhance our patients’ confidence. His knowledge and experience have led him to lecture on the latest techniques available for breast lift, short scar breast reduction, and skin sparing breast reconstruction techniques. Less invasive endoscopic techniques can be employed for plastic and reconstructive surgery of the breast and for cosmetic treatments of the face and forehead. Dr. Nastala is also trained in reconstruction of delicate areas such as the scalp, face, hands, ears, and extremities, and he welcomes referrals for all cases of melanoma and other skin cancers.
