PRMA's DIEP Breast Reconstruction Experience

Since the practice began in 1994 the surgeons at PRMA have performed thousands of DIEP flap procedures making PRMA one of the busiest breast reconstruction practices in the World.

In 2009 alone a total of 572 breast reconstructions were performed. Of these, 502 reconstructions used tissue from the lower abdomen in the form of DIEP or SIEA flaps. The table below illustrates how the number of these "tummy-tuck flaps" performed at PRMA has increased over the years (please note that GAP flaps, TUG flaps, latissimus flaps and tissue expander/implant reconstructions are not included in this table).
