PRMA Pink Ladies Offers Support and Inspiration to Breast Cancer Survivors
By: Brandy Korman
Being diagnosed with breast cancer is a devastating experience for every woman, but having a strong support network and the ability to talk to others going through the same situation helps ease some of the anxiety.
The Pink Ladies Support Group here at PRMA has been aiming to do just that – take away some of the fear and unknown that comes with a breast cancer diagnosis. Some women may have just been recently diagnosed and are worried about treatment and reconstruction options and others may have already completed the process.
No matter what stage you are in, all are welcome.
Since we first started the Pink Ladies back in 2010, local women have been coming together to offer advice, support and hope to other survivors. Even if you’re not local to San Antonio, we broadcast each meeting online so that you can tune in and join the conversation anywhere.
From topics on lymphedema, exercise and nutrition to stress management and sex, the Pink Ladies are able to share their experiences and ask questions that they wouldn’t normally get to ask.
So mark your calendars and set your reminders for our monthly meetings as we welcome guest speakers, share stories and get to know each other as we walk through the breast cancer journey together.
