New patients are always asking me about good places to eat when they are in San Antonio. Being fairly new to the area I haven’t visited a ton of restaurants but recently I ate at the Chart House restaurant in the Tower of America’s. Wow!

If you’ve never been to the Tower, it is a 750 foot tall building overlooking San Antonio. The top, which houses the Chart House restaurant, bar and observation deck, actually revolves giving guests a panoramic view of the entire city.

The food at the restaurant is also exceptional. I tried the stuffed flounder and it was melt-in-your-mouth good! One of the best meals I’ve eaten since moving to Texas.

Dinner is a little pricey but worth the money. They also have a lunch menu and happy hour Monday thru Friday that features reasonably priced appetizers and drink specials.

Whether you go for dinner, lunch or just to have a few drinks and check out the view, I highly recommend visiting the Tower while you are in town. Or if you live in Texas and have never been, you need to go!
