I had my prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with immediate DIEP flap in 2017. It was so scary choosing to remove my breasts, however, my husband and I could not ignore the statistics my doctors explained about my risk elevating drastically being brca2 positive.

After a couple of bad appointments locally, I came across PRMA and we drove 5 1/2 hours to have a consult with Dr. Nastala and nurse Amy. I love them both. Amazing surgeon and amazing nurse. They always made me feel prioritized and they had amazing patience with me. I must have asked a thousand questions but they remained so kind and patient. They educated me in every single step in my breast reconstruction journey. I can’t say enough positive things about PRMA, Dr. Nastala, and nurse Amy!

“AMAZING! Had my prophylactic double mastectomy with reconstruction at the same time with Dr. Nastala. He is so calm, experienced and does excellent work. I traveled from Dallas to have him do my surgery after a friend used this practice also. He does the latest type of breast reconstruction that barely any doctors in Dallas did. And he’s been doing it for years! I checked out 4 plastic surgeons in Dallas and looked at their galleries of pictures and nothing compared to PRMA with Dr. Nastala. They have a completely different pain mgmt protocol and hospital stay of only 2 days. I was virtually pain free from the time I got out of surgery throughout my whole recovery. I love their staff, too!”

Dr. Nastala performed a bilateral breast reconstruction (of my five-year-old breast cancer mastectomy reconstruction) surgery. The needed, but not emergency surgery was due to a trauma/accident; just like most reconstruction surgeries, it was not routine. My oncologist recommended PRMA and from the first appointment with Dr. Nastala, my husband and I were very pleased with the professional, kind and respectful manner he and the entire staff displayed. Dr. Nastala and his nurse Amy addressed our concerns and answered our questions. Like everyone else having breast cancer was life changing. I had my mastectomy a little over a year ago. One of my dear friends had seen a doctor at PRMA and suggested I go there when I had decided that reconstruction was something I was interested in. My experience in the last 2 years has been amazing! I am very happy with my results, given my situation. The cancer diagnosis was the worst news and being without a breast for 8 months was hard. Dr. Nastala and the rest of the Doctors and Staff at PRMA Plastic Surgery have made the tough road of breast cancer recovery so much easier. My DIEP flap reconstruction is amazing and feels very natural as it heals. Being a carrier of the BRCA 2 gene mutation, I was facing a double mastectomy and reconstruction at the age of 33. They made this process a lot easier on me and my family. Dr. Nastala and all staff members have been incredibly nice and always available if I have had any questions along the way!

I started my reconstructive surgery with an expander put in when I had my mastectomy. A month later my primary doctor sent me for an mri for a problem I was having with my right shoulder. Because of the medal in the expander the mri burnt me from the inside out. I got a real bad infection and the expander had to be removed. When I was healed and ready for reconstruction I found out there was no one in town that could do the surgery I needed. I was first sent to MD Anderson which told me the recovery would be to hard for someone my age and would not do it. I then went to PRMA and had the surgery. That was six weeks ago and I am feeling great and doing most everything I normally do. Thank you all at PRMA

My DIEP Flap reconstruction was done March 25, 2015. Dr. Nastala is a miracle worker! I am very happy with my results and would highly recommend him and PRMA.
