Dr. Courtney Carpenter graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2006 and comes to PRMA after moving her practice and family from Minnesota. She has over 8 years experience in microsurgery, head and neck reconstruction, facial trauma, juvenile breast deformities, and craniofacial surgery. Dr. Carpenter is passionate about utilizing her extensive expertise and experience to help transform lives through reconstructive plastic surgery.

Dr. Carpenter is amazing! Throughout the process, she and her team have been nothing short of amazing. The world of breast reconstruction, though small, is wide open. There are so many options, and Dr. Carpenter is so knowledgeable, kind and great at explaining. She level sets expectations clearly - we aren't going to be Barbie after this, but we do deserve to feel good about ourselves. From my expectations to the outcomes she achieved...wow! She is truly a talented plastic surgeon, not to mention compassionate and kind human. I mostly appreciate how she listens, hears what I want, my goals and then reacts with her clinical skills to see how we can meet my goals. I met with several other surgeons prior to choosing Dr. Carpenter and PRMA. Neither of them were as open, willing to hear me, or willing to provide education in my options. They decided what was best for me without my input. I am a huge proponent of patient centered care, and Dr. Carpenter and her team bring that to the table in spades.

I had a good experience with Dr Carpenter on my first visit 2 months ago. I felt comfortable and positive. I had a double mastectomy with immediate DIEP flap reconstruction, I was so ready to beat this Brest cancer for good. I got referred to PRMA clinic by my former oncologist and plastic surgeon, I was not afraid about this surgery after meeting Dr Carpenter and her medical staff I immediately knew I was in the best hands. The surgery went smooth, the recovery easier than my bilateral lumpectomy I had done in another hospital. Dr Carpenter is so welcoming and she is so talented, she reassured me from the beginning and all my fears went away. To be diagnosed with cancer is already a traumatic event in your life, the way PRMA handles the surgery is a gift from God.
