Facelift Surgery

Facelift surgery is a good option for women or men looking to wanting to achieve a more youthful appearance. There are a variety of different levels of face lift options including a traditional facelift, a mini facelift, or a lower facelift.

What Is Involved During A Facelift?

Typically, a traditional full facelift procedure includes a jowl lift, a brow lift and sometimes eye lift surgery. Just like with any other cosmetic surgery, every individuals needs are unique and what is necessary to achieve desired results for one person may not be the same for someone else.

Incisions are made along the hairline of the temple and continues down and around the ear. Once healed, scars are discreet and covered by hair. During the procedure, the skin, fat and underlying facial tissue are repositioned and lifted to be redraped over the face. Any excess tissue is removed and discarded.

In some cases, a neck lift is also included in the facelift surgery and an additional incision will be made under the chin.

Patients should expect to go home the same day as surgery and will experience swelling a bruising for the first couple of weeks. Typical recovery time until patients all activity and facial care restrictions are lifted is around 4-6 weeks.
