What are the different cosmetic surgery options offered at PRMA Plastic Surgery?
Our experienced surgeons offer breast augmentation (enhancement) with breast implants, breast lift (mastopexy), and breast reduction procedures. These procedures help create an aesthetically pleasing look for women who are self-conscious about their breast shape or size.
All breast surgery procedures performed by our surgeons are designed to enhance the self-image of our patients by restoring or enhancing the shape, curve, and contour of the female form:
Breast Augmentation – Enhancement with Breast Implants
If you have ever wished for fuller, larger, more proportioned breasts, you may want to consider breast implants. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular procedures performed at our practice. The results are immediate and dramatic as shown by our breast augmentation before and after photos.
Depending on your body and the shape and size of your breasts, our surgeons will recommend the best type of breast implants (saline or silicone gel), implant position, and incision site for you.
Breast augmentation can also be performed in conjunction with a breast lift to raise and firm breasts that have lost their shape over time.
Ultimately, we will work with you to choose a procedure that best fits your goals, and suites your body. During your consultation your surgeon will advise you about what to expect during and after your surgery and answer any questions you may have about the procedure and your individual results.
Breast Reduction
Unusually large breasts can cause cosmetic concerns, medical problems and self-esteem issues for many women. For this reason, breast reduction surgery is often covered by insurance. The goal of every breast reduction procedure is to create an aesthetic and flattering breast shape while achieving a more proportioned breast size.
Breast reduction surgery boasts some of the highest satisfaction rates of all plastic surgery procedures. Benefits include relief of back and neck pain, improvement in posture, and also prevention of skeletal deformities that can develop in large-breasted women over time.
In addition to improving health, the surgery can also improve the lifestyle of many women. Daily activities such as exercise become easier, and freedom from the added weight gives most women the confidence to try new activities. Our breast reduction before and after photos show how significant the improvement can be after this procedure.
Our patients can combine a breast reduction procedure with a breast lift and targeted liposuction for further refinement. A variety of incisions can be used depending on the degree of reduction required. Many patients are candidates for minimally invasive or “short-scar” breast reduction techniques. These techniques utilize smaller incisions and significantly decrease the amount of final scarring on the breast.
Breast Lift
Over time, breasts may lose their shape and the skin around the breast may begin to sag. A breast lift, or mastopexy, can restore fullness to the bust line by removing excess skin, and lifting and tightening the remaining breast tissue.
By raising breasts to a more flattering and youthful position, a breast lift can mask the effects of age, pregnancy, and nursing. For women who have lost a significant amount of volume, a breast lift can be combined with breast augmentation to increase size and overall fullness. Please view our photo gallery to see breast lift before and after pictures of patients who have undergone the procedure at PRMA.
While a breast lift can be performed on women with all sizes of breasts, the results will last longer on patients with smaller breasts. During your consultation your surgeon will explain how a breast lift can enhance your particular figure and which type of lift will provide the best results. As with breast reduction surgery, many patients are candidates for minimally invasive or “short-scar” breast lift techniques which decrease the amount of scarring on the breast.
