Eyelid Surgery – Blepharoplasty
Eyelid surgery (also called blepharoplasty) is a plastic surgery procedure that can reduce the appearance of droopy or saggy eyelids. Aging can cause the skin and fat of the eye, as well as the muscles that support the eyelid, to droop and weaken. Eyelid surgery can help restore the appearance of a more youthful eye.
Upper Eyelid Surgery
The aging of our eyelids can also cause vision impairments. For patients who’s eyelid skin droops below the lash line, or for patients who are seeking a more youthful appearance, upper eyelid surgery may be a good option.
A football shaped incision is cut and skin and fat are removed. The incision line is typically closed along the crease of the eyelid making scaring almost undetectable. The procedure typically takes about an hour is is performed in an outpatient setting.
Lower Eyelid Surgery
Sagging lower eyelids can create a tired, aged appearance. Lower eyelid surgery can help!
Similarly to the upper eyelid surgery, for the lower eyelid a football shaped incision is cut and skin and fat are removed. The incision line is typically closed along the crease of the eyelid making scaring almost undetectable. The procedure typically takes about an hour is is performed in an outpatient setting.
