Traveling for surgery can feel overwhelming—but at PRMA, we believe that geography and finances should never stand in the way of receiving world-class care. Whether you’re coming from across Texas or across the country, we’re here to make your journey as smooth, supported, and stress-free as possible.

If you need assistance with flights or lodging during your stay in San Antonio, there are several programs dedicated to helping breast reconstruction patients like you. From free or reduced-cost air travel to partnered hotels and nonprofit lodging support, these resources are designed to ease the financial and logistical burdens of traveling for breast reconstruction.

American Cancer Society (ACS) Hope Lodge
San Antonio hotels partner with the American Cancer Society to provide lodging for breast cancer patients traveling for treatment. Accommodations are available at little to no cost, but space is limited and advance notice is required.

Who it's for: Breast cancer patients traveling at least 50 miles for treatment; one caregiver may accompany the patient
Availability: Lodging is available Monday through Thursday on a space-available basis
How to apply: Patients must request accommodations at least two weeks in advance
Important Note: Assistance is not guaranteed and depends on hotel availability. PRMA recommends making backup plans with a contracted hotel

Cancer Support Community - Airbnb Program
A partnership between Cancer Support Community and Airbnb provides free housing for cancer patients and caregivers who meet specific eligibility criteria.
