Specializing in advanced breast reconstruction, our surgeons have over 100 years of experience. Get to know our surgeons and team via their bios below.

Dr. Peter Ledoux

Dr. Peter Ledoux received his M.D. from Wayne State University in 1987. As part of his medical training Dr. Ledoux has completed multiple internships, residencies, fellowships and has participated in medical studies.

Dr. Steven Pisano

In the twenty-five plus years Dr. Pisano has been in private practice, he has amassed a tremendous experience in autologous tissue reconstruction, participating in over 3000 breast reconstruction procedures.

Dr. Chet Nastala

Dr Nastala joined PRMA in 2002, focusing his efforts on developing one of the best breast reconstruction practices in the country, building on the solid foundation of the work begun by Dr. Pisano and Dr. Ledoux.

Dr. Minas Chrysopoulo

On joining PRMA, Dr C focused his efforts on expanding PRMA’s footprint beyond Texas to provide access to state-of-the-art breast reconstruction to women across the US and beyond.

Dr. Gary Arishita

Dr. Arishita joined PRMA in 2008 and has been able to pursue his mission of providing reconstruction to breast cancer patients. He has been annually recognized as one of “America’s Top Surgeons.”

Dr. Oscar Ochoa

Dr. Ochoa became board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2013 and has achieved the prestigious status of fellow with the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Dr. Lauren Whipple

Dr. Whipple has always had a keen interest in art, particularly anatomical illustration and figure drawing. During medical school, Dr. Whipple realized she could combine her love of caring for patients and talent for art into a career in plastic surgery.

Dr. Andrew Gassman

Dr. Gassman expertise covers all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. His interests include clinical research interests include pain reduction after breast reconstruction, enhanced recovery pathway after complex reconstruction, and multi free flap breast reconstruction and perforator free flap reconstruction.

Dr. Anton Fries

Dr. Fries, currently the Chief of Plastic Surgery and a faculty surgeon at UT Health San Antonio, boasts an illustrious medical career that spans the globe. Graduating from the prestigious University of Cambridge, Dr. Fries’ journey led him to become a former Surgeon Commander in the Royal Navy, with combat experience.

Dr. Tyler Merceron

Dr. Tyler Merceron comes to us from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, and the University of Pennsylvania, PA. He has published many articles and made numerous scientific contributions throughout his distinguished academic career. He comes to PRMA with a keen eye and looks forward to a long career in the San Antonio area helping women rebuild their lives after breast cancer.

Dr. Courtney Carpenter

Dr Courtney Carpenter comes to PRMA from Minnesota with over 8 years of experience microsurgery, juvenile breast deformities, and craniofacial surgery. She is passionate about helping to transform lives through reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr Carpenter graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2006.

Alessandra Andren PA-C

Ally was born in Washington, D.C. Ally worked as a vascular surgery PA for 2 years and then joined PRMA in Summer of 2024. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board.

Kelly Wiswell, PA-C

Kelly was born and raised in Austin, TX. She has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. She began her PA career in Emergency Medicine and later joined PRMA in the summer of 2023.

Ginger Crowder, PA-C

Ginger was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, where she attended Lamar University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biology, before attending the Texas Tech PA Program. She joined the PRMA team in 2007.

Lauren Lambert, PA-C

Lauren was born in San Antonio, TX. She started her career as a pediatric cardiac surgery PA for 2.5 years and then joined PRMA in 2024. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board.

Amanda Moreno

IT Manager

Amanda has been with PRMA since 2018, and currently serves as the IT Manager and Data Analyst. Her nursing and management background serves as the bedrock of her professional journey. She thrives at the intersection of technology, data, and healthcare, dedicated to empowering new employees with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their roles and technological infrastructure. Streamlining workflows to bridge the gap between technology and healthcare, harnessing innovation to create a brighter, healthier future for all.
